Create a QR spin-to-win wheel for your store
Customers scan a QR code at the counter, spin on their own phone and get a reward on the spot. You set prize quantities, limit spins and see results in one dashboard.
- No app for customers to install
- Prize limits per day and per branch
- Results decided on the server, with a list to reconcile
From 499,000 VND/month, free trial included

How customers take part
Three steps, under a minute, on the customer’s own phone.

Scan the code at the counter
The customer scans the QR standee with their phone camera and enters a phone number or receipt code.

Spin on their phone
The wheel opens right in the browser, with your store’s logo and colours.

Collect the prize at the counter
The customer shows the result screen with their name and order code; staff check it in the dashboard and hand over the prize.
What you control as the store owner
Every limit is set before the campaign starts, so a busy day never blows the prize budget.
Prize caps in total, per day and per branch
Set a maximum for each prize; once it runs out, that prize stops. Every branch has its own prize stock.
Spins per order code
Each receipt code earns a number of spins, optionally based on order value.
Duplicate spin protection
Block repeat spins by phone number or receipt code, with required input formats.
Results decided on the server
The customer’s phone only displays the result; it never picks the prize.
Real-time reports
See spins and prizes given out per prize, and export the winner list to reconcile.
Your branding, VAT invoice available
Change the logo, colours and background to match your store. Prices include VAT; invoices on request.

Different goals call for different rules and prizes.

Suggested rules and prizes by goal Goal Suggested rule Suitable prize Raise order value Receipts above a set amount (e.g. 300,000 VND) Discount voucher for the next order Attract new customers Scan the QR code in store Small gifts, samples Bring customers back One spin per receipt Voucher valid for 7–30 days Store opening, customer thanks Check in at the store Physical gifts, vouchers The simpler the rule, the faster staff can explain it at the counter.
Plan the prizes and daily limits
Set a maximum quantity per prize per day, not just odds.

- Everyday prizes: small vouchers or free add-ons, most of the spins, so more people win something.
- Mid prizes: full-size products or higher-value vouchers, limited per day.
- Grand prizes: a handful for the whole campaign, used for promotion.
Hypothetical example: 100 spins a day at a cosmetics store Prize Per day Value each Max cost per day 10% off next order (up to 50,000 VND) 80 ≤ 50,000 VND 4,000,000 VND (only if all are used) Mini size 15 40,000 VND 600,000 VND Full-size product 4 250,000 VND 1,000,000 VND Grand prize 1 1,000,000 VND 1,000,000 VND A voucher only costs you when the customer comes back to use it, so the real cost is usually below the last column.
Odds are only probabilities. A busy day can still produce more grand prizes than planned. Quantity caps keep you inside the budget. With several branches, give each store its own prize stock so a busy branch does not use up another branch’s prizes.
Fix the prize structure and odds before launch and publish them in the rules. If you need to change them mid-campaign, check the procedure required by promotion regulations.
Create the wheel and apply your branding
Enter prizes and quantities, split them by branch, then change the logo, colours and background.

In Lucky Wheel VN you create a campaign, enter the prize list, quantities and how they are split across branches, then change the logo, colours and background to match your store. The wheel runs in the browser, so nothing needs installing.
Keep the pre-spin form as short as possible: usually just a phone number, plus a receipt code if the rule is per receipt. Every extra field makes some customers give up.
Limit spins and prevent abuse
One spin per phone number or receipt code, within a clear time window.
Show details
Without limits on participation, prize costs can run over budget. At a minimum, have:
- Spin limits per phone number or receipt code (e.g. one spin per receipt).
- Required input formats for phone numbers and receipt codes, to stop random entries.
- A clear campaign time window.
One person can still use several phone numbers, so for high-value prizes also check the original receipt when handing them over.
In Lucky Wheel VN the spin result is decided on the server, not on the customer’s phone, which reduces the risk of results being tampered with on the player’s device.
Print the QR code and brief your staff
Place the QR code where customers wait, and give staff one fixed line to say.
Show details
Put the QR code where customers are already waiting: the checkout, tables, fitting rooms. The standee needs:
- A short invitation: "Scan the QR code – spin for a voucher".
- The rule, e.g. "For receipts from 300,000 VND".
- A clearly printed, high-contrast QR code. Test it with several phones from where customers actually stand before printing in bulk.
- A link or second QR code to the full rules.
Cashiers play a key role in introducing the game. Give them one fixed line, for example: "Your receipt gets one spin for a gift — just scan this code."
Handle vouchers at the counter and measure results
Check the code in the dashboard, mark it as used, and track the redemption rate every week.
Show details
- The customer shows the result screen or prize code.
- Staff check the phone number and prize code against the winner list in the dashboard.
- Hand over the prize or apply the voucher to the bill, and mark it as used (in your POS or a log) so it cannot be reused.
- If a voucher has expired, decline politely and mention the next campaign.
Weekly metrics Metric Where to get it Participants, spins Lucky Wheel VN reports Prizes given out per prize Lucky Wheel VN reports Winner list Export from Lucky Wheel VN Vouchers redeemed Your POS or the store’s log Redemption rate = vouchers used / vouchers given out × 100%. This is the most important number. If it is low, try a shorter expiry or a higher voucher value before adding bigger grand prizes.
Why use a QR spin wheel in a store?
A straight discount helps the customer immediately. A spin wheel adds a small interactive moment at the point of sale and lets you see who took part.
- Know who took part. Every spin is tied to a phone number, so you can reconcile who received a prize.
- Bring customers back. When the prize is a voucher for the next purchase, customers have a reason to return.
- Control prize costs. You set the quantity of each prize per day; once it runs out, no more are given.
- No hardware needed. One QR standee on the counter is enough. Customers use their own phones.
Customers scan the QR code, or staff spin on a screen? Self-scan works when the counter is busy and the rule is one spin per receipt. Staff spinning on a TV or LED screen suits opening days, when you want the whole store to watch. Many stores use both.
Common mistakes when running a spin wheel in store
- Setting odds but no quantity caps. Grand prizes can run out early on a peak day.
- Forms that are too long. Asking for name, birthday, email and address makes customers give up.
- Vouchers without an expiry. Customers put them away and forget.
- QR code far from where customers wait. A QR code on the checkout counter usually gets scanned far more than one at the entrance.
- Unclear rules, promotion procedure not checked.

Frequently asked questions
Do customers need to install an app to spin?
No. Customers scan the QR code with their phone camera and the wheel opens in the browser.
How do I stop one customer from spinning many times?
Limit spins by phone number or receipt code. For high-value prizes, also check the original receipt when handing them over.
Can customers take part without giving a phone number?
That depends on your rules. If the phone number is only used to deliver prizes, say so clearly. You can also let staff spin on a screen at the counter for customers who prefer not to leave their details.
Does a spin wheel need to be registered as a promotion?
In Vietnam, a wheel with random winning results usually counts as a game-of-chance promotion and may need to be registered. Check the specific conditions under current regulations before you launch.
How much does the software cost?
Lucky Wheel VN’s Starter plan is 499,000 VND/month (at the time of writing). You can try it for free: in trial mode each campaign records the first 10 participants. See each plan’s details and limits on the pricing page.
Can a chain with several branches share one campaign?
Yes. You split prize quantities by branch within the same campaign.
Promotion and personal data notes (Vietnam)
Does a spin wheel need to be registered as a promotion?
A wheel whose winning results are random is usually treated as a game-of-chance promotion. Under Decree 81/2018/ND-CP (as amended, including by Decree 128/2024/ND-CP), such programmes may have to be registered with the authorities before they run, depending on their scope and prize value. Some cases are exempt, but check that you actually meet the exemption conditions.
- Registration and notification are two different procedures. Being exempt from notification does not mean a game-of-chance programme is exempt from registration.
- The rules should state the period, eligible participants, conditions, prize structure, how winners are determined, how prizes are collected and who handles complaints.
- Regulations can change. Check the current documents with the Department of Industry and Trade where you operate, or get legal advice before launching.
Collecting customer phone numbers: personal data
A phone number is personal data. Vietnam’s Personal Data Protection Law (Law No. 91/2025/QH15) takes effect on 1 January 2026. When building the pre-spin form:
- Separate the two purposes. Data needed to run the campaign (delivering prizes, reconciliation) is different from consent to receive marketing later. The marketing consent box must be optional and not pre-ticked.
- Explain clearly who collects the data, what it is used for, how long it is kept, and that customers can withdraw consent or ask for deletion.
- Taking part is not consent to marketing SMS. Marketing SMS must comply with Decree 91/2020/ND-CP on spam messages (prior consent, sender ID, sending hours, opt-out).
